An extremely positive 2016 is coming to an end for Cividac. The petrochemical and food sectors, our markets of reference for the production of large components, showed a positive trend.
And despite the uncertainty surrounding the cost stainless and carbon steel, 2017 is bound to be even better, with a new venture ahead: next January, Cividac will start a new company whose mission will be to design and produce pyrolysis turnkey projects. Initially, our plants will be designed for the treatment of plastic and biomasses, but the intention is to expand the possible applications in the future.
This is an important addition for Cividac, first of all from a production standpoint: for the first time, a significant part of our projects will be industry-focused and not limited to single components, but will include finished turnkey products.
Strategically, this move is based on a simple realization: more and more energy is produced from renewable sources worldwide, while its cost is getting lower, and investments are increasing. This trend is bound to continue and to increase its pace over the next decades, and for a company like Cividac, it was simply natural to translate all this into specific strategic decisions and investments.
